Course Information
Novice Training
The Novice Course is for both the beginner and riders with limited experience. The course will help develop your skills for becoming a safe and responsible motorcyclist. You will learn the physical and mental skills important for operating a motorcycle, ways to minimize risk and how to handle special riding situations. Successful completion of the course exempts you from further testing at the state driver license offices. MTI provides the motorcycle and a limited amount of helmets.
Intermediate Training
The Intermediate Course offers students an opportunity to improve their skills using their own motorcycle. This is a one day six hour class that requires the student to have ridden a minimum of 3000 miles and one year riding experience. During the class students will cover the aspects of safe riding, increased visibility and optimizing your lane position. Students will practice the techniques of managing traction, cornering, swerving and stopping quickly. This class includes an optional skills and knowledge test that will waive the WA State DOL testing to receive your motorcycle endorsement.
