Welcome to Motorcycle Training Inc.
As most of you know, the governor has issued an order to stay home unless you have been determined to be an essential worker and to avoid leaving your home unecessarily. He has also requested we not participate in multi person activities. While about 2/3rds of our time is spent outdoors, we still spend about 5 hours together in a class room in close proximity
While the Department of Licensing has not prohibited us conducting training, we have decided to cancel classes and testing through April 9th.
This means the following classes and Testing Sessions are being cancelled:
1. 03/26/20 Knowledge Testing and Permit Skills Testing Sessions
2. 03/27/20 Basic Rider Course
3. 03/28/20 Sidecar/Trike Education Program 3-Wheel Class
4. 04/02/20 Knowledge and Endorsement Skills Testing Sessions
5. 04/03/20 Basic Rider Course
6. 04/07/20 Basic Rider Course
This list may be expanded depending on how the state and federal government respond to the Corona virus.
We will send an email to all students affected by the cancellations. We ask that you email us back as to whether you want a refund or to reschedule. If you choose to reschedule, please give us two or three dates that you can atternd. We will put you in the the earliest class that has empty seats.
Please remember that if the current Stay at Home order is extended, more classes will be added to the cancelled list.
Please check back for status updates.
Our 2020 Training Season is about to begin!
2 and 3-Wheel Classes for March through May 2020 have been posted, and are available for registration!
Remember, the changes Department of Licensing made to the 2-Wheel endorsement process do not affect the 3-Wheel endorsement process!
The result of successfully completing a 3-Wheel class will be your full 3-Wheel endorsement.
If you choose to test to get your 3-Wheel endorsement, you only have to take and pass the knowledge test to get your permit and then pass the current 3-Wheel skills test to get your 3-Wheel endorsement.
Special Motel Rates Available
We have arranged a special nightly rate for MTI students at the Best Western Plus hotel located at 1515 George Washington away. This motel is about 6 minutes from the range and has received very good reviews from students who have stayed there.
Call us after you register and we will give you the discount code. You must call the motel at 509-946-4121 to make your reservation as the code will not work with the Best Western reservation system.
Testing Deadlines and a Temporary Suspension of Walla Walla Testing
Our plan was to resume testing at the Walla Walla Community College around April 6th. With the Corona Virus shut down, this will be pushed back for an undermined amount of time.
The Washington Motorcycle Safety Program, (WMSP), a division within the Department of Licensing, has implemented numerous changes to process of getting your full 2-Wheel motorcycle endorsement after January 1st, 2020.
To see an outline of the changes as they are currently being implemented, please visit our "Getting Your Endorsement" tab.
The process for the 3-Wheel endorsement is unchanged.
We are offering all tests required to obtain your Learners Permit and Endorsement. Knowledge and Skills sessions for both the Learners Permit and the full endorsement are on our schedule. Special appointments are available, however they will carry an additional fee.
The fee for either the Permit written or the Endorsement written will be $25.00 for your first attempt and $15.00 for each subsequent attempt.
The fee for the Permit skills test or the Endorsement skills test will be $50.00 for your first attempt and $35.00 for each subsequent attempt.
Riders trained at MTI will receive a discounted rate for all testing.
Prices and processes are subject to change.
