Overview
Due to the Covid-19 virus and the guidelines established for our reopening, we have had to implement some temporary changes to our testing process.
We will no longer accept walk in testing. all test takers must register on line for each test they are taking.
Please enter through the back door, just off of our range. You will need to be processed into the facility and asked top follow our established processes we have put into place. You will receive a copy of these processes 24 hours prior to the event. If you cannot abide by the established proceedures, please do not register until the guidelines have been modified or removed.
The Department of Licensing offices are offering limited in person services. Endorsements and permits may be added online at the DOL website if you have successfully completed all the testing necessary. Even though you may have passed the tests, you are not legal to ride until you have visited the DOL service office or you have added the permit or endorsement online.

This is the Enhanced Skills Test required to obtain your full 2-Wheel endorsement. It consist of two runs, one to demonstrate your ability to brake and one to demonstrate your ability to corner.
To obtain your endorsement you must take and pass the permit written and skills as well as the endorsement written and skills.
You must take and pass the endorsement written and skills while your learners permit is valid.
All skills tests runs and scoring were developed by the Washingtoin State Motorcycle Program, a division of the Washington State Department of Licensing.
All testing will begin at the scheduled time. Please be here at least 15 minutes early to complete the registration and pre test activities.
You must provide a motorcycle for your skills test. Loaner motorcycles are only provided for training classes and the testing associated with the class. Motorcycles are not provided for permit or endorsement testing outside of class.
A re-test may be offered during the testing session. This depends on the riders skill and if there is sufficient time to complet a re-test. A maximum of two attempts will be given during a skills test session. A re-test will not be offered if the reason for your failure of a test is a crash.
Upon successful completion, your scores will be entered into the DOL portal. We will have your scores entered by the completion of the 3rd business day after your test. You must visit the Department of Licensing in person or online to have your Permit/Endorsement added to your license. Nothing accomplished at MTI enables you to ride legally until you vist a Department of Licensing service office to complet the process.
You are not exempt from any traffic laws while riding to and from the testing location, therefore, you are requirerd to make legal provisions to get your motorcycle to and from the testing range.
