Subsidized class pricing is a benefit of being a Washington Residient, or being stationed in Washington as an active duty member of the military or dependant of an active duty military service member. It is not available to those who are not a resident or intend to become a resident. You must be a resident and you must provide proof of residency to get the subsidized rate.
Please keep in mind that not all classes a can be offered as subsidized classes.
If you register as a subsidized student, you must provide proof of residency via a Washington Drivers License, Washington Instructional Permit, Washington ID, Active Duty Military photo ID or Military Dependant ID,
These documents are the only proof of residency accepted, no exceptions! Simply having a Washington Drivers License number assigned through the pre-applicaion process is not acceptable for receiving the subsidy benefit.
Subsidized pricing for Washington residents is $125.00 for those 18 and older and $50.00 for those younger than 18 at the time of their class.
If you sign up and pay for a Subsidized class and cannot provide proof of residency at the beginning of your class, you will be expected to pay the difference between the subsidized rate and the non subsidized rate prior to receiving your completion card.
