As of January 1, 2020 the default result of any training class will no longer be an unrestricted endorsement. The default results will be a Learners Permit. Additional testing at an added cost will be required to obtain your full endorsement from the Department of Licensing.
Students Under 18
Students who are under the age of 18 at the begining of their class, MUST have their waiver signed by a parent or guardian prior to the first range session. The waiver may either be signed in front of an instructor or you may obtain a copy from us and have the waiver signed in front of a notary and bring it with you to class.
If a waiver has not been signed by either of these two methods by the begining of class, the Under 18 student will be provided an opportunity to have the waiver properly completed prior to the first range session. If a properly completed waiver has not been provided by the begining of the first range session, that student will not be allowed to further participate in the class.
There is a $25.00 fee charged for all changes and cancellations regardless of notice given.
Please be sure you can attend all sessions prior to registering for the class!
If you need to cancel or change your class and you notify us at least 3 days before the class start date, we can issue a refund of your course tuition or reschedule you for another class. The $25.00 fee will be charged.
There will be no refunds or rescheduling with less than 3 days notice prior to the start of your scheduled class. All class fees will be forfeited if you change or cancel within 3 days. Your seat in the class and class fee will be forfeited if you are late, are a No Show or you do not have the required riding gear (See Required Riding Gear below). You will be required to pay a fee to enroll in a future class.
We make every attempt to complete your class. Occasionally though, conditions exist that unnecessarily compromise the safety of you and the instructors. If these conditions exist, your instructor will cancel the class.
If this happens, we will offer you a full refund, or we will reschedule you in a class that has available seats.
If a class does not have the minimum amount of riders (4) two days before the scheduled start date, class may be cancelled. If this occurs every effort will be made to contact you. You may choose between a full refund, or being scheduled for another class.
Councel Out/Student Self Drop/No Show
You must be on time and present the entire time that class is conducted. Missing any portion of the class will be cause for dismissal. All the courses emphasize the risks involved with riding a motorcycle and these risks are also present while a student practices riding during the course. Students who do not meet the exercise objectives, who are unable to keep pace with the curriculum, who pose a hazard to themselves or others, or drop the bike may be dismissed from the class by the instructor. You may also choose to self drop if you do not feel comfortable or feel you are not able to safely control the motorcycle, or are not keeping pace with the curriculum. If this happens, we will work with you to receive extra training or re-enroll in a class at a later date at a reduced rate. There will be no refunds and no rescheduling without a fee.
Being a No Show or cancelling with less than 72 hours notice will forfeit all fees paid. Re-enrollment will be at the regular class rate.
If you do not pass either the skills or knowledge test, your instructor will provide recommendations for your consideration. Their recommendations will be based on your overall performance in the class and the test. The options may include but are not limited to: a retest with no further training, additional classroom or range training, or retake the class. While your instructor will make recommendations, the final decision as to how you wish to proceed before retaking the test rests with you. Any test taken beyond the one free retest may have a charge associated with them.
Any retake of either test must be done within 90 days of the ending date of your class. While the first retake is done at no cost, charges may apply for additional training given in preparation of the free retake. Additional classes taken will be at a reduced rate.
The 90 day requirement does not exist if you choose to retake the class.

Optional Items to Bring
Please check the weather prior to your class and be prepared for whatever Mother Nature hits us with! We do not stop riding just because a little rain is falling, or it is a bit warm or cold! The weather is a big part of motorcycling and we will ride unless your instructor determines it it is impeding your learning or is unsafe.
Please consider brining the following:
- Riding gear that is appropriate for all conditions, such as rain gear, heavy jacket, gloves, especially in Spring or Fall.
- Sunscreen, Lip Balm with Sunscreen
- Sport Drinks. Water is provided.
- Lunch/Snacks (A lunch break will be taken, usually between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on class needs). A refridgerator is available.
Student Provided Motorcycles
We provide motorcycles for most classes. We also provide 3-wheel rigs if you sign up through the Can-AM subsidized training. You may provide your own bike if you so desire, however certain conditions must be met. We do not provide a motorcycle for Endorsement Testing, only for classes and the test associated with the class.
You must provide proof of ownership or have a signed note from the owner giving their permission for the bike to be used in the class. The motorcycle must be insured and carry the minimum state liabilty limits.
You must make provisions to get your the motorcycle to our training facility legally. You or another person must possess at minimum, a learners permit to ride the bike to class, or you must make other legal transportation arrangements such as trailering to get the bike to class. You are not exempt from the law just because you are going through a training class or taking a skills test!
Your bike must have fuel to complete the class and must pass a safety inspection by your instructor prior to use.
Certain motorcycles are not appropriate for use in training. 3- Wheelers that have enclosed seating, automotive type controls or seating and motorcycles with stabilizing wheel installed, while keeping the rear motorcycle wheel in place will not be allowed to be used in the S/TEP program. Student owned motorcycles or 3-wheelers that do not require an endorsement, or are not street legal, registered or licensed cannot be used. Any motorcycle deemed unsafe for any reason will not be allowed in any 2 or 3 wheel course.
Storage may be available, space permitting, for you to keep your bike in our garage for the duration of class, however we assume no responsibilty for it's safe storage.
Your instructor will make the final determination as to whether you motorcycle may be used in class.

Your class results will be entered directly to the Department of Licensing computer system.
Results must be posted within 3 business days after your class completion. Our staff will make every effort to post your results the day following your class, however should circumstances prevent this we will guarantee we will meet the 3 business day deadline.
