After January 1st, 2020 you will be required to take and pass two Knowledge Tests to get your 2-Wheel motorcycle endorsement added to your license, whether you take a training class or choose to forego training and challenge the test through the 3rd Party option.
Permit Level Knowledge Test
The permit level test is a 25 question, multiple choice test designed by the Washington Motorcycle Safety Program and administered by Motorcycle Training Inc. staff or designees. You must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass.
You are not eligible to have your permit added to your license until you take and pass both the permit level written and skills test.
If you choose to take a class, the testing fee for the permit level test is included in the class fee.
If you choose the 3rd Party testing option, a testing fee of $40.00 will be charged. This fee includes two attempts to pass the permit knowledge test.
The Endorsement Level Knowledge Test
